ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The most unexpected addiction you'll ever find in a bag; Zip Locc defines 'Hyphycore' (hyphy + hardcore) with a distinctly deep & chronical accent.
Born in Lagunitas, California, I was raised up in Port Townsend, WA.
Radio play of my genre can definately be dificult in the Northwest, it doesn't stop the DJ's from smacking thier lips for more of my spice, none the less:

"Solid shit man...you have a good foundation, just keep doin it." - DJ Hyphen (of Kube 93.3 FM)

I've been discovering new talent for the Locc Records label lately & inquisiting (the majors)/ working with quite a few artists nation-wide on collaborative mixtape projects with work also heavily underway on the first "Best Of Locc Records" album featuring our cream-of-the crop picks and MANY local artist features.

I'll admit I didn't realize I'd be serious about making my music BIG until the beginning of this year with a sort of new year resolution for sucess. As a result, I've made real progress toward this. I began with the aim to put out an entirely self-produced album in the first half of the year but also promoting and finding and working with as many new local artists as possible, the first MC I recruited to Locc Records, Boo Bear, helped inspire me to rap back when I started on his answering machine in 2003, but has been a good friend for more than a decade. Crazy Tasty and I happened to meet on work crew doing community service years back and friends since. Me and him helped form the Castle Hill Crew (aka CH2), he's a very charismatic character and freestyles most of the time. Hefty Sack is one of my best friends (who I met thru Boo Bear), with his raw thizzlatin' style in the booth, he very much got me interested in the hyphy movement & always gave me his honest opinions. Recently, I got Dru (a roommate) who never before rapped flowing sum treal hot shit; though this isn't magic, it doesn't happen every day & is one of my proud achievments & Locc Records' alike.
I'm saving to attend a professional sound school & hope to eventually cultivate AND produce for many other famous artists & keep helping the independants as my greatest goal and ambition.
