"Zletovsko" which has a macedonian bizarre name, is progressive rock/ jazz rock band from Japan formed by Keyboardist Isao Horikoshi and Bassist Shigekazu Kuwahara (previous member of Japanese progressive rock band "Pochakaite Marko" and "Kouenjihyakkei") in 2002.
The band was started as ELP and U.K. style keyboard trio. In 2009, Kuwahara and Horikoshi played with Japanese most important drummer Tasuya Yoshida who best-known as a band leader of "Ruins", "Kouenjihyakkei" and young genius guitarist Kei Fushimi at Samla Mammas Mannna's Lars Hollmer tribute concert. Horikoshi and Kuwahara decided to reformed Zletovsko by these members.
Current lineup of the band is Isao Horikoshi on keyboards, Shigekazu Kuwahara on Bass, Tatsuya Yoshida on Drums, and Kei Fushimi on electric Guitars. All of members are virtuoso on each instruments area. Their live performance is high-energy and massive like a Mahavishnu Orchestra.
Zletovsko’s music style are influenced by classic progressive rock group, such as "This Heat", "U.K.", "Frank Zappa", "Camel", "Gentle Giant", and "Magma". It also has an element of Zeuhl, sophisticated improvisations, and spirits of Rock. There are a lot of irregular time structures and moog sounds, but also their music composed by Horikoshi and Kuwahara are catchy and unique.
In addition, Kuwahara and Yoshida were rhythm section of Kouenjihyakkei's 1st album that describe as a masterpiece. They reunite first time in twenty years. Their sounds are thrilling Fushimi's guitar and Horikoshi's keyboard battle on super-heavy rhythm section.
Isao Horikoshi is member of Japanese improvisation unit "SHERPA". His versatile style earned him the nickname “fantasista”. He has been playing piano and keyboards for several rock and jazz, progressive group. And works as a musical director for various stage production. He has also toured Europe, Korea and Canada. And his YouTube videos are getting acclaim from Keith Emerson and Eddie Jobson.
Shigekazu Kuwahara is previous member of Japanese progressive rock band "Pochakaite Marko" and "Kouenjihyakkei". As a Pochakaite Marko, He released three full albums, composed many pieces. He loves 70's classic rock and folk music
Tatsuya Yoshida is one of the most innovative drummer/composer/improviser in Japanese avant-garde music scene. He is best known as a Band leader/Founder of "Ruins". "Ruins" plays very unique high-energy music that is mixture of contemporary music, hard core and progressive rock. He also has many other groups as a leader, "Koenjihyakkei", "ZUBIZUVA", "AKATEN", "KOREKYOJIN". He has been collaborate with John Zorn, Fred Frith, Derek Bailey, Keiji Haino, Yoshihide Otomo, etc
Kei Fushimi is guitarist described as a young genius. He started playing guitar at age of 12. At age of 18, He becomes a professional musician. He is member of Lars Hollmer's SOLA. Now, He is a leader of own rock jam band "The Peach Sunfish".
