ZONE OUT aka Z.O
ZONE OUT musical journey started as he can remember.
He was born in Chicago, into a musical situation. His father Michael J. Mayberry Sr. is a local legend funk guitarist from the late 70's, who also owns and operates a legendary home recording studio called "Studio Paradice".
Zo from an infant , has seen legends such as the Ohio Players, Cameo Tyrone Davis Ghetto Boyz ,come through the studio and record their music. He also witnessed several local rapper and singers. Seeing this throughout his short life, Zo knew where his path would begin.
When some of these artist's recording sessions were over, Zo would sneak in the studio take the mic and begin free styling and honing his skills. Not long after that, his Father took notice that his son was something special. His Father began entering Zo in talent shows and freestyle contest, where Zo at a very young age would lay his older challengers to rest. With the opportunity to make music at his leisure, Zo would made homemade cd's and sell thousands in the hood and throughout the streets
Featured on as many mix tapes as any signed artist, zo has amassed a local street name. Being as talented as he is, Zo produces his own beats and writes for other artist as well. Zo is also in the process of creating theme songs and DJ intros for local cable networks and radio station. Zo's musical influence's include some of today's hottest mc's like Jay-Z, Fabolous, Twista, Busta Rhymes, Cassidy, Juelz santana, Lil Wayne, Jadakiss, T.I, & Ludacris ect. Zo's stage performance is unchallenged. He performs with such energy and charisma, that the next artist on the venue would have to pull out his beat to rival Zo.
Chicago's talent is flourishing. R-Kelly, Kanye West, Twista, Shawna, Common, are household names. Now Zo's gun is smoking and ready to put his mark on the world. He has already put his stamp on the low in the underground. With a doctrine from the streets, now it's time for the world to bear witness
