Album Notes
Zoe Erisman has spent considerable effort studying Slavic music. She taught herself
Russian. Her debut concert at Wigmore Hall London was a concert of all 20th
Century Russian composers including Shchedrin, Scriabin, Prokofiev, and Shostakovich.
Her Orion album of the 24 Preludes of Shostakovich Op, 34 was sold in Japan, Israel,
Europe, and the U.S. This album was reviewed as follows:

Zoe Erisman is a tremendously communicative artist ...she could turn out to
be a major discovery. The last pianist I heard with this much charisma on record was Martha Argerich.”
American Record Guide

Regarding her European tour presenting 20th century Russian music:

“She is a formidable pianist in her technique and in her self-assuredness...Her tone has great power and she is impervious to the difficulties within the programs she plays...She makes everything seem effortlessly simple...”
Il Cittadino (Milan)
